Engineering Manager (Flutter) (m/w/d)

As an Engineering Manager in the app team, you are directly responsible for building and improving our mobile app for students. You will hire and lead an international, world-class team of engineers. This is a cross-functional team with both app and backend engineers.

• You are responsible for the technical direction and further development of our app and ensure that we are always at the cutting edge of technology
• You analyze technological trends and evaluate new tools and frameworks in order to continuously improve and develop our product
• You support your team in their professional and personal development, recognise individual strengths and ensure that each team member can develop their full potential
• You support your team with technical expertise and act as a mentor for less experienced engineers. Through regular code reviews, pair programming and feedback sessions, you will raise the quality of the team to the next level

• You have strong knowledge in the development of mobile apps with Flutter for iOS and Android, as well as TypeScript in Firebase. Experience in backend development with Ruby on Rails is an advantage, but not a must
• You think strategically and are able to put technical decisions in the context of the overall business goals.
• You have a keen interest in leading a team and developing people
• You follow current trends in app development and want to continuously develop yourself to find the best solution for our users
• You are interested in working in cross-functional teams and closely with the users of the software
