(Senior) Software Engineer Elixir (m/w/d)

Your Mission

• You will be significantly involved in the development and improvement of our core products using Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView to advance the jobvalley platform.
• As part of a cross-functional Scrum team, you will work closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver relevant features.
• You take full ownership of your code – from conception to smooth operation in production.
• Your tasks include refactoring code to ensure system cleanliness and scalability.
• You will manage deployments on Heroku and ensure their reliability via automated pipelines.
• You actively participate in Sprint execution (Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and share your knowledge to continuously improve the Engineering team.

Your Profile

• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in professional software development.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Elixir, along with pronounced expertise in Phoenix and Phoenix LiveView, is second nature to you.
• You are experienced in working with large, complex codebases and bring a pragmatic, product-focused mindset.
• You are a collaborative team player who takes full ownership of your work.
• Desirable: A solid understanding of PostgreSQL and data modeling, as well as experience with CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) complete your profile.
